Saved Filters

Often times people within the same role within a workflow will want to view the issues list the same way over and over again. Adding a way to create saved filters or even easier filtering methods would be helpful. The goal would be able to use the issues list as a "To Do" list. This is usually done by filtering and sorting the data to create a list of items that match a specific task you are responsible to complete. i.e. As a person responsible for incorporating the agreed upon changes, I would always want to view all open items with a current status of "Agree" that are assigned to me or my role and possible a discipline. Currently the only way to filter is to either do it by using the widgets or by using the column header filters, which both have some drawbacks.

Actually, I just tested placing two radial charts and when you filter one, the other filters so you couldn't create something where one column has multiple filter criteria.

I thought that might be a solution as well, but found the widgets are limited in the capabilities. For example, you couldn't have a filter for State to display both Open and Draft items. You would have to place two radial charts on the dashboard and filter one by Open and the other by Draft. This unnecessarily bloats the dashboard. There needs to be a much more robust filtering system to be flexible to find information more easily. Even having a better filter on column headers in the Issues list, would go a long way.

This can already be done using the project dashboards. You can create a shared layout of the widgets with filters retained. It can then be loaded by simply selecting that dashboard.
